When her otherwise calm hormones went berserk!

I have always been a calm person. But today my hormones decided to go berserk.

I  started the day well. My  intention was to help my aged mother to get her Malaysian Passport today for the trip next week.

As usual I got myself ready for work. On my way, get mom's passport done. Then take her  for lunch and send her home to rest. Little that I knew, God has a better plan for me!

It was almost 10a.m. and I couldn't find a parking space to park my car near the Immigration Office.

Then I knew it was due to the extra crowd that flocked the otherwise lonely roads along the Immigration Office building. These crowd were there to collect their BR1M money. Ah!, now I knew why the jam!.

As I was making that turning, a 5 tonne lorry conveniently drove into my right of way and practically stood in front of me for nothing! And this was when the drama begun!

The lorry driver did not even raise his hand to indicate that he was asking for way. And that simply meant "No way! I am not going to budge!"

"Miss, please reverse your car to make way for the lorry!" said the good samaritan Municipal Council's officer (who roams the town to issue parking tickets to defaulting drivers) to me.

"What?!! Why the f*ck do I need to do that?!! This is my right of way! No way I am going to reverse my car!" I said to him at the top of my lungs!

"Miss, please be considerate. Remove your car now or else other motorists can't move!" insisted the Municipal Council's officer.

"No! You please tell that to the lorry driver that he is the one who should reverse his lorry and not me (reversing my car)! " I insisted, still fuming.

I could notice that startled look in that Municipal Council's staff's face. I managed to peep that his name was written as "Ujang" on his name tag. He could have least expected my answer, maybe.

"Miss, please remove your car. I need to go and collect money from the bank!" said one Malay uncle who works with a Security Company. He needed to get his mini van out of the parking space at which my car was waiting at the back.

That was obvious. But that was not even my problem, I told him, still holding my breath in anger.

The sun has got hotter and crowd started to gather.

"Pakcik, you please keep quite! That is not my problem at all that you need to go and collect money!" for no reasons, that Pakcik also got it from me.

Gosh! What have gotten into me, I quietly asked myself. Why was I losing my cool?

"I won't move my car until that stupid lorry driver comes down and apologize to me for getting into my right of way and caused this problem!" I adamantly said to the Municipal Council's Officer.

He look disappointed but surprised at the same time.

Oh my goodness! What is happening to me? I was thinking...

"Hoy, you please come down now and bow down to her! Today is her day!" I heard the Pakcik that works with the Security Company, who needed to reverse his mini van was yelling at the lorry driver.

Surprisingly in less than two minutes, the driver and his assistant came down their 5 tonne lorry and came to my car.

"Miss, I am sorry. I was such an idiot to have driven in your right of way! You are in no way guilty of this Miss. It was all my fault and I am truly sorry!"

To my further surprise the lorry driver was such a young man, maybe in his late twenties! And he looked startled as much as disgusted for being made to come down his big lorry and say sorry (more so to a lady driver!).

And I reversed my car feeling strange and thinking what had got into me to have lost my mind and scolded those people for no concrete reasons.

Was it because of the hot weather? Or was it because of the hormonal imbalance? God, please help me.

Do not allow me to lose my temper in such a way! But when I think about what had happened again, I learned that if I insist on what I want, I can get it!

But I was thankful that the lorry driver did not turn violent or verbally abusive to me! Phew!

Breakfast at Tiffany!

It was a rare opportunity to be able to have breakfast together. It was like having breakfast at Tiffany. The food comes secondary. The company matters most.

And humble coffee tasted heavenly too!
And after you have had a good start of the day, it won't affect you a bit when other motorists gave you that "Hey-you-idiot! -You-are-driving-in-the-wrong-direction!" look when you inadvertently found yourself driving in the opposite direction on a one way street! hahahahahaha...
It wont worry you an iota when your front tyre hit a pot-hole! And it amazed you how people with dimentia and pre-mature senility allowed themselves to sit behind the wheels and ended up making others one of an endangered species!
