The latest addition to the family

She came as a stray kitten. She practically cried with tears wetting both her small eyes. We cared and fed her with sardines from the can. And my hubby would once a week bathe her. And she loves to rub her head to my hubby's foot! And Ikin named her Pacha!

Pacha enjoyind her new bed

Pacha couldn't seem to leave her bed!

Pacha likes to sleep with her head dangling!

Pursuing the dreams - continuously

This time around her good friend, Ana, got the opportunity to join the pursuit. In fact she was more than happy to have her join the class. We learnt how to steam the buttercream and how to get a glowing yet super smooth surface. But then she also learnt that it requires great care when arranging the roses so that the surface wont cracked! Thanks Lia for this useful class.

Enjoying each other's company

This was the best weekend we had. My youngest sister and her four children were with us to spend the weekend together. It was Christmas. She has come specially to help me out in the Christmas baking.

Life really interferes with your success!

It was last June, 2011 when she last wrote. Since then, she could not help but to feel guilty as charged for not being able to keep her personal promise - to write at least one entry per day! Yes, life has interfered with her goals. But she can't waste that precious resources of her  breath whining about  life and all its ups and downs. It is life. A sign of being alive is the ups and downs. So much has happened since June 2011.

She shall be more than eager to receonnect with her blog and all the she can say is, she is grateful for this great life she has been given by the Al-Mighty God thus far.

More interesting entries are expected! She is back into blogging life!

The fun ends, the memories begin!

Braving the mosquitoes and chilly night air
- for the fishing interest of Ashraf!

Sya, Naj and Yours Truly
The final minutes before we bid goodbye to the beach!

The tree has specially grown in a slanting way
- for Yours Truly to take a breather!
We definitely had a rejuvenating weekend. That prepares Yours Truly for what the next week may bring! :-)

Sunshine, wind and harmless company!

"A one million dollar view!" according to Zul!

Ashraf and yours truly, in each others' arms

Zul, Nan, Yours truly, Naj and Sya
A group foto with the ever pleasant Mr Zul!
Who is that lady that made Naj so shy!
In summary, the beach outing was just awesome! ;-)

The dinner

Yours truly
Waited for the speeches to finish. HM delivered quite a good speech about how your shoes took "efforts" to get used to your feet so that the shoes will be loved by you! ;-)
Naj has got a fish!
And he is a happy boy!
Naj and Sya enjoying their dinner

Ashraf  having a great time with grilled fish and
hot and spicy sauce with oranges!

Yours truly had a great time enjoying all the great company and great food! This was heavenly!

Lending her presence

Front: Yours truly, Zaleha
Back: Hj Sahar, Hajjah Sahanim
She is lending her presence to the students who were attending the motivational talk prior to sitting their UPSR exam end of this year. And she is glad she could do that!

Beach-ing out!

The ever inviting sea!

Yours truly and a woman in pink

Yours truly in semi serious talk with En. Ismail

Rows of gorgeous kayaks ready to be taken!
She spent the weekend having too much sun than her skin could afford! She hopes that the skin will not revolt too badly. But the company and the hospitality of everyone else is simply great! The food was simply great!

Glorious food?

Do not remember what sushi are these, but they were oishi! But she wished that the Japanese chef did not mould the wasabi by hand! So geli man! :-)
Some soba in clear water soup. Not bad a choice for weight watcher! It was so clear that even the lighting was reflected in the soup!
Vegetable fritters. The equivalent to cekodok sayur! Yummy!
Chicken chop. Nothing spectacular. Normal bolognese or bolognese flavored sauce from the bottle or can and countable chips!
Over priced for normal food like this! ;-(
Another peasant food. She couldnt understand why the chef was so stingy with the chips. Fish was less than fresh. Could have been better, but the her boy ate them all, happily! ;-)
Coffee was great and such a rescuer to these less than great dinner! Should have known what not to order next visit, if any!

The humble Malay traditional dessert - Bingka Ubi

The humble "Bingka Ubi"

Two humble Bingka Ubi(s) ready for collection!
She still bakes this traditional Malay dessert but upon requests. And this time's requests came from Mdm Safiah of PBB, PR and her new customer, Hj Yahya of Air Hitam.

She hopes that is "hangus"/burnt enough as specifically requested by Hj Yahya! According to him, the burnt portion is his favourite! She cant understand her customers at times. But she tried to adhere to her customers' request, no matter how peculiar it could be!

Mdm Safiah and Hj Yahya, thank you for your support and enjoy the Bingka!

Today should be endless!

Your host decided that she should end this awesome week with a fresh injection to her insatiable desire for knowledge. Hence she found herself sitting among the participants of "The Law on Wills - Islamic Perspective" seminar presented by Tuan Haji Nordin Bin Yusoff, Advocate & Solicitor, of Messrs. Nordin Yusoff & Co., Petaling Jaya.

The Laws on Wills : Islamic Perspective
27th May, 2011 - TJB, JB

Your host was so intrigued by the contents of the Seminar that she changed seat from the back row to the very first seat right at the front row! And each and everyone of the participants was very attentive and appreciative of the seminar! Obviously everyone did not want to lose the chance to pose questions to the Speaker. The Speaker was kind enough to answer all questions, including those that were asked to him off the seminar time!

And the sharing from the Speaker's personal collection of the late Ahmad Deedat's lecture at New York Uni was simply awesome! Your host found the way the late Ahmad Deedat's recited verses from the Quran just like that was really amazing and jaw dropping! Subhanallah!

And in support of the Speaker's Islamic dakwah, your host and other participants willingly purchased a copy of the Holy Quran. This Author of this Quran devoted 30 years of his life to write this. If someone could devote 30 years of his life to write this, this piece of his devotion is undoubtedly worth buying and reading!

The Speaker was sweet enough to oblige your host's request to autograph this Holy Quran - for the remembrance of attending his Seminar! The rest of the people who purchased the Holy Quran followed suit! However, your host is still trying to decipher the scribble!
In support of the Speaker's Islamic dakwah!

To Junaida, I hope you are amused by this holy book!
- your host would want to read it as such!
The Master of Ceremony did a great job by putting all those participants together in a comfortable auditorium to listen to this awesome Seminar! Kudos and thank you to JBC for organizing this awesome Seminar! And thank you to the Speaker for such great sharing of useful knowledge!

My Mother - Part II

The smiles are still the same - over the years!
Mother: Can we go and visit Penang?!
Penang, here I come!
The more your host looks at her, the clearer she hears the clock ticks. Your host's mother was born in 1934 (could have been much earlier!) as per her NRIC. She is now about 77 years young! She suddenly gave your host a hint that she would like to visit Penang. Your host had no idea that she has been wanting to visit this particular northern state of the Peninsula.

O Mother, how can your host not take this God's given opportunity to make you happy, by taking you to see places like Penang. Your host shall make the necessary arrangement, Mother and we shall explore Penang together sooner than you know, Mother!

O God, thank you for giving your host this opportunity to give happiness to her Mother.

Penang, be ready, my Mother is coming to see you!

Social responsibilities

Today is Sunday. Your host's neighbor front door is organizing a religious event (reading the Quran) and also celebrating their only grand daughter's 7th birthday. Your host was personally invited. Your host was rather embarrassed that the neighbor actually did come to your host's door and invited her!

Your host decided to quickly whip up a Sunquick Orange Sponge Cake to be given to her neighbor.
Tangy and soft Sunquick Orange Sponge Cake

Your host decided to wear the kaftan which she got it at a bargain at one of the outlets in Kulai.

She loves the Kaftan!

Feeling great to be able to re-connect with the society!

Some people chose to give careless whispers. Others are genuinely kind with their words. Your host was least impressed! Hmphh.. some people... ;-(

The powerful process of visualization (p81, The Secret by Rhonda Byrne)

Realizing the powerful
process of Visualization
She has read page 81 repeatedly. She couldn't agree more with the Author. Oh how so true about what visualization can do to your life.

It costs nothing to visualize. And she wants to visualize more often. She can see it crystal clear in her mind that she is successful in her role as a daughter to her mother. She plays the role of an awesome mother to her two gorgeous growing up sons. Bringing the two Mavericks up in this challenging world is more challenging than she had expected. But she has little options but to brave the wave!

She can see that more and more of her clients in her legal practice are happy with her team's services for now and many more years to come. At the same time, she is enjoying a growing number of contented and encouraging customers for her home-made cake business as well. She shall be surrounded by positively satisfied customers for both her businesses for many years to come.

Finding peace with herself and with others and all other important people around her directly or otherwise seems effortless these days. For all the great if not awesome blessings given to her by God the Al-Mighty, she is deeply grateful. She has been enjoying awesome physical and mental health, abundance of sincere and trustworthy friendships, truthful  love and affections from everyone around her, undivided attention and care from her loved ones. She has them all. And to those who have been kind enough to allow her this experiences either directly or otherwise, she believe that God will allow her to reciprocate them all in many folds!

She sees it very vividly that she is able to direct all the fibres in her being to listen to other attentively and meaningfully whenever her ears are needed. She sees that she is truthfully and sincerely adored by all that knows her for her being herself.

Being able to be successful in the eyes of her Mother and makes her proud is truly an honour to her!

She is attracting all the successes in this Universe never for her alone, but for others who depend on her for their livelihood.

She knew that all those thoughts and visualization will sooner or later materialize.

Yes, and she likes what she sees in her mind everyday! Cheers, Junaida, you can definitely do it!

It is meant to be!

Your host had the luxury of that limited time slot in her good friend's busy schedule. We spent almost 3 hours  catching up with each others' latest development. Our conversation was focused on what the future holds for us. We also talked about children, the challenges of bringing them up in this current era. And lots and lots  of laughters. And the rest are history.

Ana and your host managed to quickly go to a book store and we got ourselves a book each. As for your host, she knew that this book was meant to leave its warm and comfy shelf and be in her hands! And now she is willingly exposing her beautiful pages to your host! Thank you, dear, for allowing me to re-discover the Power within me!
She was meant to have these!

Big juicy and succulent!

Aren't these guys gorgeous?
These guys are big enough now to be brought down from where they were. And they should be ready to show off their flesh in a day or two from now. And Gosh, these are so succulent and juicy and sweet.  Your host just love to have them half raw on their own.

Mother's Day

Peace to the world when all the mommies get together!
(L-R: Pak Abu, Jumee,Yours Truly, Mother, Salbiah, Ira and Rahman)
This fav boy is obviously enjoying himself when all the mommies got together. For all that he is concerned about is that he got to enjoy the chocolate cake after the main event (cutting the cake, that is!) is over! Peace, man! ;-)

One family that rocks peacefully! :-)
[L-R: Amirul, Pak Abu, Jumee, Ramlee]
It was such a gala time for the little boy! Today was the day, when he can savour great food and awesome pampering from the mommies! You rock babe!
A piece of love from the junior mommies to the senior one!
[L-R: Yours Truly, Jumee, Mother, Ira]
It was such a great feeling for everyone to see Mother being healthy at the age of 76. This was the best Mother's Day celebration we all ever had. Thank you God for sending us one great woman to be our Mother!

Practice, practice, practice

I shall not stop practicing until I really really got it. After some time, this appeared easy to me. When the piping bag became slippery with the oil from the chocolate, there is really nothing much I could do. I tried holding the bag with a damp cloth, but that made the chocolate hardens easier! So the best thing to do was to stop for a while and then resume practicing later! And these are the guys! Enjoy!
